4th Annotation and Introduction

This book explores importance of relationships through Margaret Meade's life through annotated version of correspondence she wrote to an inextricably network of family. The letters show how she felt about family, friendship, sexuality, marriage, children, and careers. The letters also insight into her thinking on various relational roles. Like for instance, it tells how she experienced kinship, how she studied professionally in her work with other cultures within her own life.

anthropologist, Margaret Meade developed the field of culture and personality research and was a leading influence in introducing the concept of culture into education, medicine, and public policy. In 1923, she entered the anthropology department of Columbia University. Perhaps the most profound and far-reaching impact that Margaret Mead had was as a counselor to American society - usually on family related issues.
